I have real issues with Odin's portrayal in this film. I felt like they were trying to shoe-horn him into a kindly old man role, and that doesn't work - Odin is the gallows-god, the father of the slain, he's a riddle-master and almost as tricksy as Loki... not to mention he and Loki are blood-brother kind of things originally, not father and son... maybe it's the post-christianity-Odin you were complaining about?
Doctor definitely "borrowed" a Fenri chain or two.
