GO. It has small fandoms like Black Lagoon, Okami, Persona 4, Beserk, Claymore, Young Wizards, Silent Hill, The Tortall series etc.
Basically, if it doesn't have a billion and one comms (or fic) you can find people who are also fans there. Also, while there is a lot of anime/manga and game fandoms listed, there are a couple of book fandoms too.
Okay, so it is a friending meme. But still, small fandoms rule so go make friends in them.
