a linkdump of stuff – take four!

There will be more posts, of things I have read and seen a while back, as well as photostuff and what I am doing now, but there will not be much reading of things you have written.
But never mind, I still love you all.
A Partial Map of Your TARDIS (Subject to Change) – Not exactly fic, but the most amazing fanwork I’ve ever seen.
Not My Fandom Fest – Your fandom is not my fandom, but I’ll write something for you anyway. A fic fest specifically created to test ‘fannish osmosis’. The results look hilarious. (Also the person hosting writes Gwen/Ianto gen fic. YAY.)
Deck the halls with ornamental Daleks, falalalala lalalala – A LIT-UP Dalek Christmas tree.
the cold side of the pillow – An Inception fic, which runs like a Mobius strip and never really ends, but then again never really starts and is about unsure what reality is as the movie.
Chi's Sweet Home – Oh goodness, an English site that is absolutely ADORABLE and properly reflects the series.
Portal Gun prop replica – Stare at its shiny goodness. *cries lightly and wishes she could achieve such beauty in her props*
"That's cutting me own snowflake that is" – An Ankh-Morpork inspired snowflake.
Plush Lembas – Done by the same person as above, a plush representation of lembas. *wants to make this as well as their articulated dragons*
If My Heart Was a House You'd Be Home – A Doctor Who fic, which is a kind of fix-it for Martha and Mickey in ‘The End of Time’. i.e. solves it by threesome.
John Chopper – This is pretty much purely for runawayroadkill, who likes One Piece and Sherlock Holmes and what better than a crossover pic concerning Chopper and Watson? (Pixiv link, which now works for people who don’t have accounts!)
Himawari and Yuuko eraser stamps – Yeah. They’re cut into erasers. And rather impressive looking I think. (And rather suited to that craft.) Have link on how to cut your own.
Gira-ceus? – What do you get when you cross Giratina and Arceus? I have no idea, but it probably looks like this. Also, read the comments, as they are made of awesome. (Link is to Danbooru, which carries the usual disclaimer of NSFW banner ads, but the picture linked is SFW.)
On the Origin of the Species: a Bulbapedia column – Pokemon is an interesting fandom. Not only does it span across several mediums, but the creatures involved are interesting. I mean, ancient Chinese bells and world turtles?
Marauders chibi cuteness – Again on Pixiv (and this one you do need an account to see all of the images). I have no idea what’s being said, but it looks amusing nonetheless. For example, pocky wands.
Children, Go Where I Send Thee – Not quite a Donna-fixit, but touching and heart warming none the less. (Also features Jack and 11, Rory and Amy.)
You, Me and the Boabab Tree – Gita is one of the more amusing characters from the Sarah Jane Adventures. She’s very entrepreneurial and well… universe wide delivery does sound good on one’s business card, doesn’t it?
Strays (NSFW) – I’m not sure why the sex is there, but I do like the idea that when you remake the universe, you might end up with a few spare parts that don’t fit.
The Proper Care of Pets: Werewolf Edition – Which is also a Sherlock [BBC 2010] fic. Amusing, and a very fun AU to read.
Cloud Cult; Chain Reaction – Indie and strings? Why yes please. Have another, if you lean more towards wicked fairytales.
Beats Antique – How best to describe this band/group… belly-dance, cabaret, steampunk and electronic. Kind of. I’m sure I’m missing something there, but pretty musics for your ears.
Lady Gaga - The Ballet – I will admit I am only linking this because I know some of you like Lady Gaga and because this is done by a few dancers from the Royal New Zealand Ballet. I do recommend that you watch it first on mute though, as it looks so much freaking better like that.
Eisley; Memories – It’s a five year old song, but has a shiny new video.
Maurissa Tancharoen & Jed Whedon; Remains – Jed Whedon and his wife are pretty cool. They do songs together, and Jed doesn’t kill off characters, which is always cool. Also, this music video strongly reminds me of Chobits. (Which Dollhouse does generally.)
Mike Lombardo; Piano Don't Get Chicks – Considering the amount of people I know who would give piano-players as much an equal chance as guitar-players, I am amused at this video.
Nena; 99 Luftballons (2009 version) – shadowsinfire was once doing something concerned with this song. I am mostly amused by the pop culture references in this redo – namely the shoe throwing and arcade game scenes in the video. Oh and random French and reference to ‘Captiain Kirk’, which probably occurs in all of the versions, but which I actually notice because of the annotations in this video.
A Fine Frenzy; Lost Things – This is pretty. And by A Fine Frenzy, which I think means this deserves to be linked.
KIRboard cat – Because I don’t think there’s anything more hilarious than someone dressing up as keyboard cat and imitating its keyboard bashing.
Yellow Sticky Notes – A short film, done on… you guessed it, yellow sticky notes. It’s adorable and touching and kind of neat.
HP Septet – More music than fandom, I’m probably very late to the bandwagon with this link… but anyway, a composition of seven parts for… seven parts, each part corresponding to a book. There isn’t much in the way of lyrics, but some are particularly amusing.
Anime Munters – From the very odd mind of Go-Devil-Dante, this is video of The Scissor Sisters, yaoi and crack. It contains Mer-L, for example. And Ichigo and Shuuhei skipping double-dutch.
Faun; Iyansa – Mmmm, Celtic-y Pagan-y goodness that I know some of you will enjoy. Also, hurdy-gurdies.
Birds on Wires – Ever wondered if birds on telephone/power lines ever actually mean something? This isn’t quite an answer to that question, but it is pretty sounding.
Gluten-free pizza dough recipe – Because some of you are gluten free, and I love you.
Mont Blanc cake – Fandom gets me interested in different types of pastries. First was Chiffon cake, from HOLiC; second was chocolate fondant, also from HOLiC (which I haven’t made yet) and now Mont Blanc ‘cake’ which is from VOCALOID and which… from the various recipes, I know I could do, it’s just a matter of whether I can be bothered.
Not for humans, but for cats – I kind of already know what you should be doing if you want to make food for your cat (meat, with bits added) but these are treats and far less gross than handling vast amounts of meat. And make me very sad I don’t have a cat.
How Europe... sees itself – Or the interesting cultural associations European nations have of other European nations. …Now quick, someone apply this to Hetalia.
Book Collector's Glossary – Which is handy, if you want to talk about book construction in an informed manner, or just like knowing things about books and how they’re made.
Risk Reduction Strategies on Facebook – So Facebook privacy settings are kind of sucky – this is how two people cope with them.
How cats drink – Or something that people think has been studied, but actually hasn’t.
Porn and premonition? – People are apparently physic when it comes to guessing under which curtain is a naughty picture. But the amazing thing is that the tests in this study are repeatable.
Images of the Darfield (Canterbury) earthquake fault rupture – There is probably exactly one person on my flist who is interested in geology and she’s probably sick to death with things relating to the Canterbury earthquake and she’s also probably read this article. For the rest of you however, marvel at how much a single earthquake can affect a floodplain and what it can do to train tracks.
Value of a dollar – A photographic document of how much a dollar buys of various foodstuffs. It’s vaguely fascinating, though on some of the photos, I wish a sense of scale was included, as I wasn’t quite sure how big that beef shank was, or how wide that puddle of salad dressing was. So illuminating, but still somewhat deceiving.
The jumprope poem - a tutorial – A neat little how to on writing this particular poetry form. The journal has a few more of these, some of which make my head spin. (Chain sonnets? Devan/zipper poem? Internal rhyming structures? *clutches head*)
The Ghostlight Project – A collaborative project which aims to discover fragments of silent films that never were. Like Lucien’s library and the Hypothetical Library, except for film.
ban.do black label line – Haute couture hair things. That are really, really, really pretty. *drools* Also, the model’s hair is gorgeous. (Yes, she is the same person as in the ‘Lost Things’ music video.)
10 writers who will probably haunt you – Funny, until you hit that last picture and then OH GOD, THAT’S SO TRUE.
Mercedes Lackey's Blog – She has one. Also, did you know she has the same agent as Cory Doctrow? I didn’t. It’s kind of neat. (As is her stance on fanfiction, which is where I found about that fact.)
Weird in Wellington – ‘Cos Wellington has it’s fair share of graffiti and some of it is… interesting to say the least. (And can I just say, that ‘OTP’ tagger? Really tempted to graffiti some ‘ships underneath their tags.)
A Fanciful Twist – A blog with gorgeously pretty photos and inspiration.
Thistil Mistil Kistil – Do you like Norse Mythology? Do you occasionally indulge in a bit of Gods geekery? Well this webcomic is for you! Also, the art is in a neat colour-trace style that isn’t too fancy and I really really like the chapter pages.\
