More on Torchwood and some on Bones
Nov. 5th, 2008 03:44 pmBecause we record stuff for my mum, I sometimes get to watch stuff twice.
And I did so for 'Meat'. (Yeah, I know, a week after it showed.)
So, some other points that I may have missed.
Capt. Jack and Ianto's eyes did meet when Toshiko was going on about how 'they were all single, weren't they?'. Which kind of proves my point about how they either must be oblivious or they simply don't talk about sleeping with the boss.
And if indeed Capt. Jack is an utter asshole who's forcing the Torchwood team to do stuff against their will and they have Stockholm syndrome well... Gwen's line about how maybe he [Capt. Jack] does have a heart after all at least shoots down that second part.
Also, I still laugh at how Rhys has the Welsh flag in his truck. I know it isn't uncommon for truckies to do that sort of thing but... it's just so WELSH.
By the way, the day I rewatched it was the day one of my friends gave a speech on animal cruelty. So uber sadness watching relevant parts of the episode.
Remember what I said about Ianto being awesome, scary but still awesome? Well one of the moments of awesome was when he wriggled out of the wrist restraints. Which... to be fair was a probably badly tied rope but still.
Then Bones on Sunday pissed me off because Booth was all "Monogamy blah blah monogamy, one true person you're meant to be with"
The last, I don't mind so much. It's just the monogamy bit.
I do believe in polyamory, I do, I do.
Even if Bones doesn't really seem to be the person who would love two people equally, it still really irritated me.
But at least her argument that just because 'God said so' doesn't make it right made me happy.
