Well, it isn't pictures of ladies scandoulously dressed in floor length night gowns, but it is pretty much Victorian (and Edwardian) slash in America.
Actually it's more EPIC BROMANCE. With, you know, men draping themselves over other men.

A lot of text to accompany the photos but it's interesting historical stuffs.

I would kind of love to see a steampunk photoshoot based on the attitudes of the era. Just, you know, for the applied subtext of our era.

That site is so interesting! It really is incredible how the definition of "intimate" has changed since then, and what's socially acceptable.

I'll admit - slash goggles off (though those pics are delightful with them on |D), I really like how close people were allowed to be back then. It's cool. People are so paranoid nowadays.

I do have to admit reading the text about how 'great friendships' were highly regarded and then pausing for a slight moment as I wondered exactly what went wrong in history that men can't be best friends with other men.

It also makes me wonder what it says about me that whenever I see two guys almost constantly with each other or referring to each other that I immediately assume they're just awesome friends (or flatmates) rather than... together.

The fact that the Victorians were 'drapy' types of people endlessly amuses me though.
