I always read those LJ notices now.
Mar. 8th, 2008 10:49 pmMostly to anticpate if there's going be some kind of shitstorm ahead.
But good news for fanfiction writers: fic containing sexually explicit activities with/between minors is allowed. Actually, any text is.
I feel like commenting on what an ASCII picture would fall under.
However you do need to say it's NOT a good thing. Guess we'll be seeing new community disclaimers around.
Possibly. I think bleach_yaoi's pretty much covers everything.
The entry is still under 500 comments though, so keeping an eye on the threads would be a good idea. Here's a comment dealing with anime/manga and how a character may well be over 18 canonically but looks like a kid. *coughHitsugayacough* Another one.
- A question on the heading 'Eating disorders'
- A particularly snipy person commenting on how anime = kiddie porn
- Very humourous comment on chibi and furry art
- About impersonation and RPs
- On adding a section explicitly for fanfiction
- What is a threat to the US president anyway?
- The BJD community had some problems with previous regulations?
- On possibilities for judging ages in fanart
- More on specific points including writing that's graphic and so forth
- If your dog swallows a roll of quarters while you're acting in that two hours before suspension would you have time to take him to the vet?
- More on the images thing
- On libel
- Fincky fan-person on age is just a number (interesting, because they reference a fandom which 'normal' ages don't apply. I think)
- Is songfic an offense?
- On LJ servers being hosted where they are. (Good point, especially since LJ is technically owned by a Russian company now)
- Makes a point about users who may have a mental illness which may incapacitate them to a degree that they can't report content concerning them
If you have to pile on one comment in support of it, here's one which asks that fanworks be recognised in the policies.
