Note: Yes, this was constructed out of boredom and bad pun-manship. I do know that Helios and Apollo are practically the same person as well.
And yes, this is set in a highschool. *headdesks*

"Athena!" A bouncing brunette sprang towards the more severe dark haired girl who was standing by her locker. "Have you received a Valentine's yet? Aphro and Hera are already boasting about the number they've received already. There're estimates that say they'll get seventy different cards, twenty boxes of chocolates and ten bouquets by the end of the day. Of course, that's a rough estimate given by Anansi, the queer guy he is, so it will probably be that number anyway- Pardon?" Her excited rabble stopped as she registered that her friend had spoken.

"I said, Artemis, that I hadn't received any yet. I don't particularly want any either." She shot a glare to her best friend as she hauled out a pile of books from her locker. "I bet you haven't received many either." Athena nodded towards the saddle bag that Artemis was toting around.

"But Athie! You're almost as popular as those two! And you're wrong about Valentines by the way." She smiled a little smugly and drew out a bunch of envelopes from the bag. "One from my elder brother as always; a couple anonymous ones and one from Helios!" She squealed the last bit and then squealed again when a piece of paper fluttered from one of the books in her friend's arms.
"See! You have one!"

"No," the more serious girl swiped the piece of paper from her friend's fingers, "that's a note from Inari."

Artemis pouted, her small features showing her annoyance as she paced alongside her friend as they walked down the hall.
"You should've gotten one by now though. I just don't get it." She shook her head and walked onwards, passing her friend, waving. "See you at lunch then, maybe you'll have one then." Artemis bounced ahead, springing lightly like a deer.

Athena sighed, somewhat pleased that her best friend hadn't noticed the bunch of black feathers poking out from her bag. Not exactly a bunch of roses, nor could anyone except for Anansi guess that they were the peculiar half-blind guy's ways of saying 'I love you'.
