[May 26] [Bleach] No more words
May. 26th, 2007 11:50 pmDay/Theme: May 26, 'blood and love without the rhetoric'
Series: Bleach
Characters/Pairing: Ichigo/Rukia
Rating: PG-15 (oblique references to sex)
Genre: Something romantic and vignette-y
Notes: I do believe this is the smuttiest thing I've written that wasn't intended to be written so. Not that I had a lot of choice when I woke up this morning and though about what I could write but... while I have written something that was lime-ish, this wasn't meant to be pushing that line.
Tomorrow morning they will get up while the spring sun filters through the curtains and get dressed while quietly arguing, their bickering growing in volume as they make their way down the stairs to breakfast, food almost flying before they get up and head out. Once out, companiable silence will reign for a while as they walk side by side, before one snarks back at the other about something insignificant. The entire day will follow this pattern, as they meet up with friends and go on a picnic to the riverbed, aiming to admire the budding willows. Instead, they will end up with their friends looking on amused as they shout at each other across the river, each one saying their side is the best to view the willows from.
They stop once during the day, when they're attacked and they have to defend themselves, instructions flying between them instead of insults and the blades are sharp instead of tongues.
The constant banter will continue again as they walk back home, sun setting upon her back and glowing through his hair. Words constantly parry back and forth, invisible swords they wield with as much skill as they do physical ones.
Dinner will be eaten in peace, his father providing the only distraction before they race back up to his room.
And then there, after the sun has fully set and blue night illuminates the room, they stop bickering and let their actions talk. Rough fingers speak of gentleness, quick fluttering touches communicate that they'll be together forever and though one is shorter than the other, despite one pushing the other down in a sign of dominance they stand equal.
It's why their arguments are unwon.
And that's why no words are said tonight, nor any other night.
