136 & 137 not as bad as it sounds?

grassangelI'm so bad… I can play MP4 version of the Bleach episodes with sound only on Winamp. As a conclusion, 136 and 137 don't sound as bad as people have said.
The evidence will tell when I actually watch them.
However, the avi version of 138 didn't want to play sound only. So I had to skip most of that, hiding the uber small video pane under my word document. I'm very pleased though that they managed to squeeze the Ukitake + Shuuhei conversation thing into quarter the episode. Izzy'll be happy.
So, onwards.
I still like the ALONES start theme.
Anyway, a lovely part of plot recap. About a minutes worth. ENDLESS WALKING IN AN ENDLESS HALL. With only a brief interlude of Aizen grinning, for half a minute. Monsieur le Bleu moustache enters the filler stage. As well as an unaccompanied Hougyokou. As always a pretty chapter title.
Er…. Random cut to Urahara, Chad and Tessai leaving to restock. Urahara's short. And he's leave the mod-souls, Ururu, Jinta and Renji in charge of the shop… right.
Nice one Jinta. Nice one. You set off a trio of PRICELESS faces. Almost interrupting the filler plot.
It's actually quite a good plot. Arrancar feeling it's not right for a shinigami, albeit a defected one, to govern them. And there are some decent shots of Ulquiorra. Some.
But the rest is very obvious that is an illusion. Hmmm… evil mastermind, brash young one and muscle. It's so very easy to categorise the three defectee arrancar.
And I don't get the Ururu always asking Renji to move. It's lame.
But hey! It's funny seeing Ririn's reaction to having her relationship with Ichigo made fun of.
Rin! She's in charge of communications today!
Oooh, talking about mobile phones, I'll be getting a new one soon. (It's something like four years old)
Oooh, toy ball quote. Which is actually quite good.
Aopn? What kind of advertising is that?
Yumi has the same colour sheath as Ikkaku has handle binding… and vice versa.

Yay! The modsouls weird bodies! And shiny lights. And city shots of Karakura town. Which is in a ward of Tokyo (which has special wards) which is a municipality of Japan. I think… if I've got my Japanese geographical references right.

I still laugh at the expensive chandelier line. It makes no sense.

HAH! Ulqui being dead was all an illusion and this is why it's good fillers! It has Gin! And scheming Aizen who plans to let the defecting arrancar kill themselves by going to Karakura. You may be evil, but you're GENIUS.

But yay, removal of filler arrancar, always welcomed, especially with half-reasonable plot and logic.
