HOLiC, wait, what?

grassangelI should do a proper what's been happening with me entry but the final xxxHOLiC (Rou) chapter has me whatting so much I need to just expunge all my frustrations in more than 140 characters.
Firstly, the time skip? There was a fic floating around reasonably recently in which Doumeki's grandson stepped up to do the groceries.
Which I can't find and is annoying me greatly. I want to point at it and laugh at how right it is.
Second, what happened to Himawari and Kohane and the original Doumeki? D: It's great that Watanuki's moved on from Yuuko now, but uh... somehow I that the only logical follow up is that he'll get torn up over the people that have long since passed on now. Unless, you know, they're hanging around as spirits as well and he gets to meet 'em in his dreams like he did with Haruka. *just had the horrifying thought that maybe the last time we saw what we thought was Haruka was actually his grandson* *checked, and is glad she was wrong* And yeah, I want to know how they coped with knowing their best friend was still stuck in grief and that towards the end possibly wouldn't get out of it until they were LONG dead.
I do kind of want Doumeki the third (or sixth... if you're counting generations from Haruka) to use that dammed egg, because maybe things would go a not quite so upsetting path. I.e. time reversal and all is happy. (I was completely expecting it to all be yet another dream of Watanuki's. It's happened a few times before, why not this time? (Also, I really wanted to back up my claim yet again that CLAMP is more twisty and difficult to keep track of than Inception.))
The ending also messed up my OT3, although it had morphed into a very odd OT4 with Kohane added in when suddenly she started university.
Then there's the fact that Doumeki Junior can go into the shop and wow, that's a really strong wish to be passed down. ...I kind of hope the other descendants have that ability too.
Third, what's happened to Maru, Moro and Mokona? This is slightly even more concerning than the previous point. They're magical creatures! They have no life expectancy that we know of. Well, they do, and I would somewhat suspect the Mokona would either fall asleep again or simply dissolve once their purpose for 'that time' was done, but Maru and Moro exist to protect the shop. I doubt that the line of Doumeki is quite that powerful. Possibly. Unless Doumeki is hanging around like a ghost. Which would make perfect sense, but still doesn't change the fact I'm upset about EVERYONE dying.
Lastly, that outfit Watanuki wears in the dream? I'm almost certain it's one of Yuuko's. And so doesn't suit someone without cleavage.
Actually, not so lastly, the whole birds/true name is Tsubasa thing was kinda... overdone.
